Men’s Soccer Players Participate in 2013 Run for Shelter

Several members of the Trinity Baptist College men’s soccer team gathered early on Saturday morning January 12th to participate in the 2013 Run for Shelter 5k race. The race is an annual fundraising event to support the work of the Trinity Rescue Mission in downtown Jacksonville.

Head Coach Bill Brindley placed first in the over-30 division and 10th overall. Team captain and striker Addison Simms placed 2nd in the 20-24 division.

“It was a beautiful morning for a run and we enjoyed the opportunity to come out and support the important work of the Rescue Mission,” said Coach Brindley. “Our guys got a chance to go down and serve at the mission last semester, which really opened their eyes to the needs of our fellow man. So they were excited about the opportunity to support the Run for Shelter.”
