LifeSong Month in Review: October
Lifesong kicked off their monthly travels on October 3 at Cedar Creek Christian School, here in Jacksonville, Florida. This was an amazing opportunity to connect with a very energetic group of students, eager to consider Trinity as an option for their future. From October 10 – 13, Lifesong toured through Central Florida in multiple public and private schools. Deland High School, the high school alma mater of Lifesong member Jack Starke, was a great opportunity to share personal college testimonies with over 350 chorus students in 5 different classes. It was a blessing to see the seeds planted there for potential future opportunities. Also while touring in central Florida, Lifesong joined two very enthusiastic private schools, Eastland Christian School and Liberty Christian School. These were great opportunities to expose very anxious students to what Trinity has to offer! On October 12 Lifesong was given the opportunity to perform an outdoor concert for Liberty Baptist Church’s annual fall festival in the heart of Orlando. This was a great avenue of outreach for the surrounding community. While at Liberty Baptist Church, Lifesong joined aSaturday night worship service, resulting in a powerful connection with many high school and college-aged students. Concluding their Orlando touring on October 13, Lifesong joined First Baptist Church of Hastings, Florida and Lockhart Baptist Church (Kissimmee, Florida) for their weekly Sunday services. What a privilege it was to see lives changed as a result of Lifesong’s ministry!
Lifesong also ministered to a warm and welcoming church family atLighthouse Baptist Church (Lake Mary, Florida) on October 20. The next weekend, October 26 – 27, Lifesong traveled to Ball Ground, Georgia to worship with Calvary Baptist Church. Calvary was such a vibrant collection of believers, committed to reaching their community for Christ. While traveling through Atlanta onOctober 27, Lifesong joined First Baptist Church of Cordele, Georgia for an evening concert, corporately worshipping with a very loving congregation of believers.November 1, Lifesong worshipped with over 150 students at the Word Of Life Bible Institute (WOLBI) in Hudson, Florida. The WOLBI was a great opportunity to meet potential students preparing themselves for full-time ministry! While in Central Florida, Lifesong joined the morning services at Fellowship Baptist Church in Thonotosassa, and performed an evening concert at the First Baptist Church of Keystone Heights, Florida. Both churches were intentional about worshipping our amazing God!
Concluding their October touring, Lifesong had the privilege of performing a concert at the Trinity Rescue Mission in downtown Jacksonville on Halloween night. This concert quickly turned into a full-fledged worship service with over 200 homeless men and women in Jacksonville! It was remarkable to hear them lifting their voices in worship! Later that evening, Lifesong also decorated pumpkins and held a trick-or-treat party with a handful of children living at the Trinity Women and Children’s Shelter. It was truly a blessing to our hearts to point the hopeless to the Giver of Hope, Jesus Christ.
“This is one of the best ministry teams I have ever seen come out of Trinity Baptist College; absolutely fantastic!”
-Ben Hyrne, Associate Pastor, Calvary Baptist Church, Ball Ground, Georgia
