Trinity Baptist College was founded in 1974 by Trinity Baptist Church, and continues to be a ministry of this growing congregation with nearly 2,000 in weekly attendance. Dr. Tom Messer serves as Trinity's senior pastor. The college is an Independent Baptist Ministry. It has been accredited by the Transnational Association of Christian Colleges and Schools, an institutional accrediting body, since September 25, 1997. TRACS is recognized an approved by the United States Department of Education and recognized by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA).
Academic ProgramsOur programs are designed to equip students educationally as they prepare for their future. The Bachelor of Arts degrees (Pastoral Theology, World Missions, and Urban Ministries), the Bachelor of Science degrees (Church Ministries, Christian Counseling, Elementary or Secondary Education, Management and Ethics, Interdisciplinary Studies and Church Music), and the Associates degrees (Office Administration and Interdisciplinary Studies) are designed to prepare students for all phases of Christian ministry. A large variety of proficiencies and teaching fields provide specialized training.
Several options for financial aid are available, including Federal Pell grants and various loans. Some of Trinity's programs have been approved by the State of Florida for Veterans to receive educational benefits. Students whose parents are in full-time Christian service also qualify for an additional scholarship.
